Warwick CL Neodyn 150

As a bass player, the fantastic thing about Tokyo is that you don't need a bass amp!

Wherever you go, whether it be rehearsal studio or live venue, there's invariably a very nice rig sitting waiting for you - usually Ampeg, Eden, SWR etc.

Consequently, unlike London, you don't have to lug your weighty head and speakers up multiple flights of stairs every time you play.

However, for those very rare occasions when an amp is necessary, I got myself a nice little Warwick 150-watt combo. I borrowed a friend's once and was impressed by its punch and pizzazz.

The low- and high-boost functions can really help even out the quirks of differently sized rooms and venues, and the parametric mid controller is spot-on. It even comes with discreet wheels and an extendable handle at the back to make transportation that little bit easier.
